AWA6150A High-Fidelity Mouth Simulator
01
Product Description
The AWA6150A Mouth Simulator is a sound source designed to simulate human speech.
It features a built-in power amplifier circuit and is used to test the sensitivity and frequency response of telephone transmitters and microphones, as well as telephone sending loudness ratings. Compliant with IEEE 269, 661, and ITU-T Rec. P.51 standards, the AWA6150A incorporates a power amplifier (providing approximately 4x gain) and a high-quality loudspeaker. It is capable of continuously generating a minimum sound pressure level (SPL) of 100 dB (0 dB = 20 μPa) at the Mouth Reference Point (MRP)—defined as 25 mm from the plane of the artificial mouth's sound output—and accepts standard external signals directly via a BNC connector. Key features and applications include:
1) Testing telephone sending loudness and the sensitivity/frequency response of transmitters and microphones;
2) Serving as a sound source for acoustic measurements;
3) Accurately simulating human speech;
4) Minimum continuous SPL of 100 dB (0 dB = 20 μPa) at the MRP;
5) Low distortion;
6) Compliance with IEEE 269, 661, and ITU-T Rec. P.51 standards.
