On May 23, 2023, the State Administration for Market Regulation (National Standardization Administration) approved the release of 535 recommended national standards and 2 national standard amendments, including three important standards for the acoustic instrument industry, namely "Electroacoustics Sound Level Meter Part 1: Specification" (GB/T 3785.1-2023) drafted by our company, "Electroacoustics Sound Level Meter Part 2: Type Evaluation Test" (GB/T 3785.2-2023) and "Electroacoustics Method for Determining the Correction Value of the Free Field Response of Sound Level Meter" (GB/T 42553-2023). These three standards will come into effect on December 1, 2023.
The "Electroacoustics Sound Level Meter Part 1: Specification" (GB/T 3785.1-2023) drafted by our company is equivalent to the IEC international standard IEC 61672-1:2013, replacing GB/T 3785.1-2010. Compared with the old standard, the new standard has higher requirements. The main changes are as follows: (1) The expression of some terms and formulas has been modified. (2) "Tolerance" has been changed to "acceptance limit", and tolerance = acceptance limit + measurement uncertainty, so the acceptance limit has become smaller and the requirements have become stricter. At the same time, it is required that the measurement uncertainty does not exceed the corresponding maximum allowable uncertainty. (3) Some technical indicators have been modified, such as the decay rate of time-weighted F and S, electromagnetic compatibility requirements, environmental test requirements and windshield correction. (4) Some technical indicators have been added, such as long-term stability and high sound level stability requirements.
Our company participated in the drafting of "Electroacoustics Sound Level Meter Part 2: Type Evaluation Test" (GB/T 3785.2-2023) as the second drafting unit, which is equivalent to the IEC international standard IEC 61672-2:2013, replacing GB/T 3785.2-2010. This standard mainly stipulates the type evaluation test methods, requirements and standards of sound level meters. The release of this standard will make the type evaluation of sound level meters more objective and accurate, and improve the applicability and practicality of sound level meters.
Our company participated in the drafting of "Electroacoustics Method for Determining the Free Field Response Correction Value of Sound Level Meters" (GB/T 42553-2023) as the third drafting unit, which is equivalent to the IEC international standard IEC 62585:2012 and is released for the first time. This standard is a standard on the free field response correction method of sound level meters. It mainly stipulates the methods and requirements for the free field response correction of sound level meters in different environments. The release of this standard will provide a more scientific and accurate free-field response correction method for sound level meters in various environments.
