AWA6011 type piston sound generator

The AWA6011 piston generator is standard sound sources capable of generating specified sound pressure levels and frequencies, primarily used for sound pressure sensitivity calibration of microphones and acoustic measuring instruments.
The piston generator is characterized by a nominal operating frequency of 250 Hz, which falls within the flat frequency response range of microphones, ensuring the same sound pressure level for both sound pressure microphones and free-field microphones; moreover, the sound pressure level is very stable.
Its disadvantage is that the sound pressure level varies with air pressure (altitude), therefore it needs to be corrected according to the air pressure of the working location. For convenience, the AWA6011 piston generator integrate a digital air pressure sensor, which can accurately measure the ambient air pressure and provide correction data for sound pressure correction. The AWA6011 model meets the technical requirements of IEC 60942:2017 Class LS/M for sound calibrators.
